Sri Maitri Rehabilitation centre for Addicts Ballari has been organizing different type of training programmes. Mainly training the social work students ‘to create awareness and bring to mainstream those groups that are at risk from alcohol and drug abuse’. Further awareness created among the people also created.

As per the above objective, the following training programmer have been conducted.

1. Training by good resource persons
2. Training to ‘Anganvadi and Asha’ workers.
3. Training to different organizations and groups
4. Training to employer of various labors categories
5. During 25 days internship for social work students ‘theoretical and practical training’ has been provided.

World No Tobacco Day Celebration 31st May 2019

Sri Maitri Integrated Rehabilitation centre for Addicts, Ballari, has tradition to celebrate every year on 31st May, as world’s day of No Tobacco Day.

Government of India has honored the tobacco day by making “RULE OF NO SMOKING IN PUBLIC AREA & NO SMOKING FOR JUNIOURS” Same has being executed through out in the nation.

Sri Maitri IRCA Bellary has organized a function to fight against drugs and illicit trafficking on the occasion of the observation for the INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING on 26th June 2019 at ST. Joseph’s Boys School, Belagal Raod BALLARI, The Function was attended by D.D.W Sri,K.Mahanthesh K, C H Kumaraswamy R.P.D. Sri Maitri Association ® Davanagere, Dr. Sri Verabhadra Gouda Chief Medical Officer, Sri Maitri IRCA Bellary, Sri Rev Fr NA, Vincent Manager Correspondent ST. Joseph’s Boys School, Ballari. Sri Shankar Inspector, Traffic Station Ballari. Dr Gouri Manik Manasa Associate Professor Dept. of Social Work VSK University Ballari. Sri Venkatesh Principal, JJ MSW College Ballari, Sri Jaganath Yoga Teacher And Social Worker Balari , Members of SHG’s, Press reporters, Recovered patients, indoor patients, and also overall audience of around nearly 480- 500 people attended the programme.

The Purpose of programme was to create awareness among the people and the society, in general regarding ill effects of addiction, and to encourage the persons who are interested to quit the pat of addiction forever. As Chief Guest Given information about the use of Tobacco related and Alcoholism ailments and survival of life, also explained about prohibition about smoking, which leads to dangerous aliments. Given lecture to patients, advised patients and public not to in touch with bad habits like, chewing of tobacco, smoking, alcoholism and use of Drugs. In the group of audience many more handbills distributed, shown slide show about bad effects on brain, heart, lungs of human beings, Many posters have been exhibited most of the Public have promised to live up use of tobacco based product & Drugs. Chief Guest, President and social worker have expressed their happiness about the program organized by the centre. At the end National Anthem Was Conducted.
